Why are you downloading anything for AmigaOS4 then?

I don't get it...

Aynway...the windows .exe you already found on cyxdown.
I have no idea how it should work on windows, but using my port i guess it should be the same.

You need to copy your game data (that is, the whole lot of subdirectory and files that are installed on your windows system) to a directory called data.
See again "structure.txt" from the .lha to get an idea on how the files have to be set up.

Above all that should you copy bs.exe and run it.

As i said, not sure if that complies, since i never tried it on windows.
There should at least be error messages coming up.

The .dll's go together with the .exe.

We are on Amiga. .exe is pretty much foreign is seldomly used (the .exe from cyxdown is useless as it it windows code).

The binary to run BS is called bs_amigaos4.
I even added a nice icon which features a starting script behind it, just double click it (it's called "Bermuda Syndrome").

As for the directory structure...
The only rather peculiar thing to do is to get the music properly installed, see below.

A sane structure is described (or rather listed in "structure.txt").
But normally it should be enough to copy the game data.

How you need to rename the music/midi files to get music in game is described in midi-list.txt.

Funny that you should miss all that information, but hey, i'm not throwing the first stone ;-)

What exactly should I do to get it running? I downloaded bermudasyndrome.lha and extracted it, but theres no .exe in this package. Then I downloaded from http://cyxdown.free.fr/bs/ the bs.exe. I copied bs.exe into the extractd folder from bermudasyndrome.lha. After that I copied the folder BERMUDA and VFW from the CD into that folder. The same I did with SDL2.dll, SDL2_image.dll and SDL2_mixer.dll.
Unfortunately the game doesn't run. What folderstructures are the correct ones? Into what folder must the bs.exe be copied? I did read the readme, but I'm still clueless.

R, usually SDL does support AmigaInput. Cannot test personally.

I'm not sure if it will work.
AmigaInput is not supported.
SDL takes care of the controller part, so if AmigaInput is needed to make the controller system available, it probably will not work,

OK, I 've found it. The detailed rip mode of the soundtrack should be as follows:
Codec - Ogg Vorbis
Channels - Stereo
Sample Rate - 22050Hz (22Khz)
Sample Size - 16Bit
Bitrate - 64
Name of output files: Track01.ogg, Track02.ogg etc.

Hmm, strange enough...

Checking earlier comments it seems i got sucked into quoting the wrong readme :-(

I am talking about the readme that comes "explicitely" with *this* package.
Reading it you can find the line "you can rip the tracks to 22 Khz stereo Vorbis .ogg".
Copy these to a "music" subdir *inside* your "data" dir.

I was using SOX (on os4depot) to create the files



On a different matter.

I know that the intro video is causing crashes, it does it for me too, but randomly.
Just start the game and press ESC to skip the intro and you can play along

As i said i am no coder, so anyone who is willing to help nail this bug, feel free to shout

Can you please refer with detail regarding the format of the soundtrack to rip? Cause I have tried several solutions without luck. Is it "Mono OGG 22,050Khz, 56kbps"? The Readme of the PC version states plain 22Khz Stereo however. What program you used to rip it? Have you tried converting the .midi to .ogg and see if it works?

Well, I ripped off the musics of the soundtrack CD in Vorbis ogg format as the
README says, but I still don't hear any music. Do the track files have to have

I meant the README that came with THIS package, not the one from the game,
obviously all the instructions for the game are meant to be Windows :-)

README:

If you have the CD game soundtrack, you can rip the tracks to 22 Khz mono Vorbis
.ogg files.

"1.3 Midi and General Midi

The songs that are replayed during the game have been adjusted and
remixed for the Soundblaster AWE 32 (tm). If you use this soundcard
you will get the best result.

Of course the songs will work on other soundcards, too. Just remember
to set your soundcard to "General Midi". If the soundtrack still
sounds strange then you should use the "Windows Midi Mapper" to remap
channel 16 to channel 10. "

From README.os4:

"There will only be background music if you rip the audio tracks from the CD.
Otherwise the game will only have sound effects and be rather silent.
MIDI playback is not supported."

So? I ask again: what must be the format of the musics in order to hear them. I
would be glad to rip them in any format needed....if I know which one I must
