@Hypex:
It's easy to fix the installer. It says something about a "(" in line 885 or something. Opening the install script and jumping to line 885, you see two lines after eachother with a ")" on each line. Removing one of these lines, the installer works flawlessly. :-)

@Helgis

Report bugs at the YAM site, not here!

In version 2.9P1 there is a problem using TSLv1/SSLv3 security. Both for getting emails and for sending emails. I'm sure this error is well-known to all users. I noticed this first time today of October 28th, 2014. Hope this will be corrected in next version of YAM.

A suggestion of implementing IMAP security could be something to think about?

The archive was prebuilt and the fix was done after all of the uploads.

It's easy as pie to fix it yourself though.

This archive is buggy. It has the broken installer. I thought this version was fixed?

@Thematic
True. Still, it's very handy. It helps keep track of things.

It's not security, it's a reminder that you (definitely) shouldn't be poking around if you don't know the word.

The new YAM 2.9 truly rocks, using MUI 4! I like that the user acts as a supervisor, typing in the password every time you start up YAM, for better security! Thanks! :)

I agree with Razel that this comment page is not for reporting bugs or something like that. This comment page is to give comment to what you think of the program in a positive way and why you think the program is good, and what might be missing or something you wish to see. Personally, i love this update of YAM. Very useful, very reliable and fast.

You do realize that there is a mailinglist and a website for asking about/reporting bugs?

Anything posted here WILL get lost

The german catalog file (V 8.1) in the original archive is incompatible with Yam 2.8.

The remote filtering has an issue as well, any email which is set to be left on server doesn't appear in the download preview so they stay invisible on the pop server gradually filling the box and slowing down filtering.

I can't see any "old", already downloaded mails anymore in the download preview window - all empty!
