** Submit file ** If you are replacing a file then please use the [Replace file] link on the previous files readme page. This will prefill all fields from the previous readme file. Remember to always enter all fields marked as Required fields. If you do not enter these fields then the file will be automatically rejected after you have uploaded it. This means that you might end up uploading a large file for several minutes just to get an error message saying that you forgot to enter a required field. Always review all fields before submitting your file to avoid the frustration of having to upload it again. A clean install of AmigaOS 4 must be able to unarchive your submitted file. Test this by unarchiving the file using the UnArc application before submitting your file. These file types are allowed: .avi .bz2 .guide .gz .lha .lzx .mpeg .mpg .pdf .rar .rexx .rx .tar .tgz .txt .zip Field descriptions: * Name (Required field) This is the name of your archive. Do not cunfuse this with the filename. Example: Timberwolf * Description (Required field) A short description of your file. Do not just copy the filename but try to write a short but descriptive message here. Example: Http web browser. * Version Version of the submitted file. Try to avoid using words like "beta", "release" or "alpha", keep it short by using "b","r" or "a" instead. Example: 5.53.1b * Author (Required field) The name or names of those who created the contents of the package. Avoid entering email adresses here, since they will not be encoded in this field. Example: John Doe * Submitter (Required field) Name of the one who submitted this file. Avoid entering an email adress here, since it will not be encoded in this field. Example: Tony Aksnes * Email (Required field) Contact email to the submitter of this file. The email will be encoded so that spammers will have a harder time harvesting emails. Enter it as a normal email address. The email field is required since the staff might have to contact you if there's a problem with your file or if someone is trying to replace your file. You can select if your email should be visible on the web pages and in the readme file by marking the "Hide from view" checkbox. Example: username@hostname.com * URL An URL pointing to an ftp or http site with further information about the submitted file. Example: https://project.sourceforge.com * Category The category in which the submitted file will reside. If you are unsure which category to choose then select the most appropriate one, even a root level one, and the admins will move it to where it's most suited to be. Example: audio/misc * Filename (Required field) Try to keep the filename short. Do not use filenames like "openfileandeditit.lha". Try to give your project a short distinct name instead. Admins will do the following changes to filenames: "_os4" and the like will be removed. filenames will be changed to lowercase. version numbers will be removed. spaces characters will be removed. Try using only these characters: "a-z", "0-9", ".", "_", "-" Example: firefox.lha * Replaces If your submitted file should replace an existing file then enter the category and filename of the old file here.
