I was of course thinking of a newer version of the main SuperTux platformer and not neccessarily the SuperTuxKart game using 3D GL stuff. If someone should be interested into doing a new version, whichever of these that should be, then that is always a welcome offer. No hard feeling, really.

If someone else wants to try porting a newer version, go ahead. I'm only on emulation these days and can't test GL games.

Liked it pretty much, thanks :)

most devs says window mode is faster for a lot of sdl apps, i dunno why, weird
and wickid is what it is.....

FULLSCREEN is normally faster than window... atleast here anyway. some
levels are 60fps others 20-30.

G4 ... OGL will help on speed , and im sure cyborg will recompile it when ogl
works again.

I wonder if it's amiga specific of if it's in the linux version
aswell?..
When you stand on a platform in mid air, and shoot at enemies on the ground, the
fireballs won't hit the ground, the dissapear 32 pixels up from the ground (on
block in height).

Ahm, have you guys found the secret room on level 1 yet? :)

I get around 23FPS btw, how much do you guys get?

anonymous (213.64.118.163) @ 20 Oct 2005, 03:47.21

By: anonymous (213.64.118.163)

Wow, a really well made SDL game! I like the fact that it's such a shameless
ripoff of SuperMario and Giana Sisters. OK, it's a ******* penguin in this game
too, but in this case he fits in, it's just not an uggly linux mascot squeezed
it for the sake of it. The framerate is a bit to low for it to be really really
enjoyable for me, how is it on a G4? Full framerate?
I have tried window mode only though, but that's usually the fastest mode. Hmm,
let's hope a future version of SDL will be faster. Well, thanx for this nice
gift, one of the better SDL gifts for sure!
