I experienced the same problem with latest AmiUpdate 2.57 crashing when trying to update to AmiSSL 5.21 from it on my X5000. I sent an email to Simon with the crash log and a snapshot of the crash that happened. Picking up AmiSSL 5.21 manually.

So. I downloaded AmiSSL 5.21 using IBrowse and installed it manually.

Optain the latest AmiSSL from here and use the installer from it that way for now. I did at it worked without any problem. It's possible the author might have forgotten to prepare the latest update to be brought in AmiUpdate. Rest assure, there's ALWAYS a solution.

Now after installation of 5.10, it looks like AmiUpdate doesn't work anymore. IIt complains that "Connection to https failed"
