Ran more tests trying different screen modes with the CTRL+LWIN+S combination. Regardless of the screenmode in 8, 16 or 32-bit, the colors when running an OCS/ECS/AGA screen like a game, appear wrong, hence the purple and the green colors, just like Mickey stated himself. Apart from wrong colors, the new UAE works as supposed to. Please contact Kas1e, so that he can help fix the color issue in latest UAE, as he has an X5000 himself using the RadeonRX driver based on Polaris, thank you kindly. For now, I stick to the 2015 version that has the correct colors, using the Acceleration hunk, which works very well.

@LiveForIt Kas1e can help you sort out the color issue in UAE. He has an X5000 with RadeonRX driver as well. He can help you with this problem, since your X1000 is not working.

I think I see the problem why Amiga users with RadeonRX drivers are experiencing wrong colors under the latest UAE version here. If my theory is correct, the colors display correctly if you're using the RadeonHD drivers, which often supports older cards. The new version here of UAE might not have been made with users of the RadeonRX driver in mind, found in many X5000, new SAM460 systems and certainly also the A1222 as well. My suggestion is to look closely on how the 2015 version of the UAE JIT implementation was made, and compare that with this latest version, to easier see the problem with wrong color display on RadeonRX setup. Apart from wrong colors, the latest UAE JIT runs the way it should.

Tested again the new version using the trick Ctrl+LWin+S brought up the screen mode register. Picked the 32-bit 1920x1080 resolution. Screen is centeres yes and all the icons are shown, displaying the active JIT and such as supposed to. But the colors are still wrong, being green and too much black. My X5000 is using the RadeonRX driver from a 4GB Sapphire RadeonRX 580 graphic board based on Polaris 10. The 2015 version of UAE works fully correct, even when I added the accelerator hunk. The new version works as well, except the colors are all wrong. You're almost there now. Only this to correct and off we go ;)

Tested the slightly updated version of UAE on my X5000 RunInUAE setup. The version is still 1.0.0, but from May 25th of 2025. The inclusion of the Acceleration.library dubbed acceleration.hunk, is a nice addition. However, the new version of UAE now has the screen centered but still with wrong colors (still PURPLE screen). Apart from that, it ran perfectly well and extremely smooth. For now, I'm still using UAE with JIT from 2015, but added the Acceleration Hunk library stuff to the S drawer of the emulated OS, being Workbench 3.1 and added the mentioned command right under SetPatch. I can confirm that the accelerator works perfectly and it makes the emulation even smoother, regardless of the UAE version. Only the purple color error needs to be solved, then the new version of UAE can be fully used. Keep up the improvement.

Purple graphics here too, unfortunately. If I select a P96 resolution in Screenmode prefs of the emulated Amiga the colors are correct, but that doen't help with OCS/ECS/AGA screens. The Emulation uses 16% less CPU-Time here! Great work! Thank you! I hope the issue with the purple color screen can be sorted out, as the emulator is not of much use this way.

Your correct, some code of code was rolled back, from nonofficial beta version, uploaded in the forums, bugs where found after being upload, focus on get it sable, not provide experimental code that had some performance issues. BSD socket support is the primary reason for this version, not picasso96 support.

However, this "new" version is NOT version 1.1.0 of the JIT UAE and it doesn't seem to be a "complete" release of E-UAE AmiGFX version as of the one from 2015. I run the complete 2015 JIT version of E-UAE through RunInUAE provided with AmigaOS4, using the AmiGFX driver of it. As mentioned, I tried the "new" version, that was still version 1.0.0, replacing the UAE file itself. When running it, the screen appeared purple and green instead and NOT centered, as supposed to. I'm avoiding this "new" version until this has been corrected for a new version AFTER 1.0.0. Hope this can be corrected so that this misunderstanding won't happen, thank you kindly.

Tried the new version by copying over the old 2015 UAE on my X5000. But graphic is messed up and not centered. The 2015 version works the right way. Could you fix the new version to make the graphic appear correct when running UAE, thank you?

There's been improvements to statefiles in WinUAE since 0.8.29 that this doesn't have. I'd be interested in knowing any other titles that have issues with savestates and trying them myself.

Thanks for this update. One question anyway : there are some games that doesn't work correctly when the stat file is loaded (ex. Alienworld). Is it useful to make a list of the games or there is a bug in e-UAE ?

I was blissfully unaware that there was a non-sdl version of WIP4 on the site. I just tried it, but the filesize seems to be very small for something not lzma compressed, and it just makes my whole system freeze up. Mouse and everything.

The same for wip4+gui of course. But in latest sdl version of euae, that combo works fine. Maybe you can have a loot at this ?

modfr, I tried compiling that one too, but there's just too many undefined references when amigaos is the target operating system. I can fix quite of a few them, but I lack the necessary skills to fix everything to get it to link without errors. I can successfully compile and link uae4all but it crashes as soon as you try to run a game from the menu. Grr!

The good news is the official 0.8.28 version from rcdrummond.net has the exact same issue. So I can't blame myself. I will look into it and see if I can fix it. The ChangeLog does mention byteswapping.

Hmm, you're right. I tested the SDL version I did and that works with AGA. No other differences in the code. Something to do with AMIGFX. Nevertheless i'll still put the fixed one (with UI for disk swapping) up even if I can't get AGA going. Then i'm going to look at uae4all.

I've only been testing it Pinball Fantasies on Party Land. There'll be a version with file requesters for disk swapping within a few hours. It's faster than the other versions i've seen, but not by a lot. Strange thing is, I also did an SDL GL version and it was slower than every other SDL version of e-uae i've used, and I have no idea why.
