DVDAuthor is a program that will generate a DVD movie from a valid mpeg2 stream that should play when you put it in a DVD player. Installation: Copy bin/#? SYS:Utilities/ Also you may want to set the VIDEO_FORMAT env variable to either pal or ntsc depending on what video format you want to use by default. I use for instance: setenv SAVE VIDEO_FORMAT pal To generate a DVD ISO (no menus) for burning you can use the commands: ffmpeg -i <input file> -target pal-dvd -aspect <4:3|16:9> dvd.mpg makedir DVD dvdauthor -o DVD/ -t dvd.mpg -v pal+<4:3|16:9> dvdauthor -o DVD/ -T mkisofs -dvd-video -V <disc label> -o dvd.iso DVD where <4:3|16:9> should be either 4:3 or 16:9 depending on the aspect ratio of the video file. To add a subtitle track you need to create an xml file with contents like: <subpictures> <stream> <textsub filename="film.srt" subtitle-fps="25" movie-fps="25" movie-width="720" movie-height="576" force="no"/> </stream> </subpictures> and then use the spumux command to add them to your .mpg file from above: spumux -s0 -m dvd -P film.xml < film.mpg > film-sub.mpg If you want to add more than one subtitle track you need to invoke the spumux command multiple times as adding more than one track at the same time is not possible (also remember to increment the number in the -s paramter for each additional track). Note: Only the dvdauthor binary has been tested to be working as it's the one I mainly use from these tools. |
